The school moves at European Mobility Week

We have celebrated from the 16th to the 22nd of September at the school our twenty-second edition of the European Mobility Week, under the motto "Be healthy! Move in a sustainable way".

This proposal is part of the series of actions of the European Mobility Week in which more than 2,800 cities in 51 countries organize similar activities for a week to raise awareness about a mobility model that moves away from the absolute dominance of the car and become healthier, safer and more sustainable: cultural itineraries on foot, bicycle races, gymkhanas using public transport, the day without cars, walks, talks, etc. By changing the way we travel, we can increase our levels of physical activity, help to improve the quality of the air we breathe in cities, and help to prevent traffic accidents. It is not just a matter of learning a few rules and traffic signals to circulate better, it is a way of promoting a change of mentality and reaching the acquisition of a model of sustainable mobility that transmits values and attitudes of citizenship, tolerance and respect for other citizens.

In order to deepen the objectives proposed in the European Mobility Week from our area of Physical Education and Health we propose different awareness actions that link with our way of understanding education and our way of listening to our students.

This year we have proposed the following actions in Primary Education of which you can see a sample by accessing the links:

- Initial Cycle. Skate and scooter circuit with challenges and obstacles to overcome.

- Middle Cycle. “Vilajoc. The city that plays”, a project for the creative transformation of urban spaces for the practice of physical activity.

- Higher Cycle. Archaeological route and design of cooperative games to share with other classmates.
