ONCE AGAIN, WE COLLABORATE WITH THE TOY TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE (AIJU)
Once again, during the Christmas season, our school highlights the value of play and toys as key elements in children’s development. Our aim is to help you make a conscious, responsible choice that is appropriate to each child’s needs.
For this reason, we are sharing with you the AIJU Guide, produced by the Toy Technological Institute of Valencia, an institution with which we have collaborated for more than 25 years.
What is the AIJU Guide?
It is a benchmark publication widely used by educators, teachers, psychologists, families and professionals in the field of play. It is an independent, non-profit tool that rigorously analyses new toys released on the market throughout the year, taking into account educational, developmental and social criteria.
What is not the AIJU Guide?
It is not a commercial toy catalogue. Its value goes far beyond showcasing products: it helps us understand what a toy truly contributes to a child’s development and why it may—or may not—be suitable at each stage.
What is it for?
The guide provides clear guidance to understand the educational role of play and supports choices that are aligned with each child’s interests, abilities and needs. We encourage you to compare its recommendations with your children’s preferences and concerns. This year, the Guide celebrates its 40th anniversary and includes an insightful article on play and screens.
Please remember that you can collaborate anonymously by sharing your opinion in the various research studies carried out throughout the year related to play and toys. You can contact AIJU at: consumidorinfantil@aiju.es
